Belmead- Tumanan Bedroom Renovation
Rick and Raquel came to us with a confidently contrasting vision of a delightful design challenge. Their 180 sq ft primary bedroom needed to become a personalized oasis that easily blended both of their desires for aesthetics. The couple wanted a functional, sophisticated walk-in closet, and independently an upstairs desk space for work from home. In an attempt to bridge all these atmospheric desires, harmony must be sprinkled with light and shade. Rick was drawn to a dark and moody ambiance, contrasting with Raquel's inclination for a vibrant and bright space.
We wanted somehow to combine those two absolutely different parts, to let the room reflect Rick's appetite for darkness and be partitioned with a part in calming lighting that Raquel asked for, thus achieving harmony of practically comfortable and esthetically attractive space. The project turned out to be this delightful dance between light and dark, in the end becoming a shared dream space in which Rick and Raquel might feel very much at home.
