Sturgeon Heights Legal Basement Development
Our development team completed a legal basement suite development for NICO Corporation's investment property. The property was such that it featured an untouched basement, which presented itself to be carved into a new creation nestled within the shell of a traditional post-war 1960s bungalow. As expected, working in vintage structures gave its own set of challenges. From leakage out of the foundation walls and dealing with layout constraints to overcoming the inherent low ceiling heights of such buildings –every hindrance became a test of our competence and adaptation skills. However, our resolution and commitment towards excellence, coupled with the resourcefulness of youth, served in not only overcoming these challenges but also conceiving innovative ideas to reimagine the use of the space. That turned an average bungalow into a highly functional two-unit property, increasing the desirability and potential for rental income.
